about us
The School of Coaching is Europe's longest established organisation dedicated to the development of coaching skills.

The School was created in 2002 as a joint venture between leading executive coach Myles Downey and The Work Foundation. In 2007, Myles Downey became the sole owner of The School of Coaching. This has provided the School with a clearer ownership structure, enabling it to focus more clearly on developing its coaching programmes, and has resulted in a move to the vibrant heart of Soho.

Myles Downey is one of Europe's foremost business coaches and is the author of "Effective Coaching", one of the seminal works in the coaching profession. He is also Director of Studies at the School.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the School is its dedicated Faculty whose collective coaching expertise is brought to bear in the programme design and delivery. Members of the Faculty are amongst the most recognised practising coaches in the country. They have varied specialist skills and vast experience of the range of individual and organisational challenges encountered at senior management level. Having such a high standard of faculty enables the School's programmes to be both theoretically rigorous and highly practical.
