The School of Coaching has worked with the DfES over the past five years to develop the coaching skills of Directors, Divisional Managers and Team Leaders through a modular programme certificated by Strathclyde University. More than 115 Senior Civil Servants have also been through the "Effective Coaching" programme, which aims to:

- equip them with the skills to work more productively in an environment characterised by change

- help them manage and develop the performance of their teams

- ensure effective interactions with their colleagues and clients elsewhere in the department, suppliers and other government departments and agencies
