John Grisby

John is an Executive Coach in Performance, helping individuals and teams to achieve pre-identified outcomes in organisations. His coaching assets are a result of a multi-disciplined background of over 12 years as a director of global business strategy and development, and more than 10 years active in competitive sport.

John has extensive experience working with serial entrepreneurs and senior managers identifying opportunities and building key relationships, alliances and joint ventures in markets across Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East and the US. Tri-lingual (Spanish, Italian and English), he has worked around the world in diverse sectors including strategic communications, media, corporate services, technology and publishing for companies in start-up, high-growth, pre-IPO and M&A environments.

His areas of expertise are in developing high potential senior managers, New Role/Job Transition, functional roles in business development/commercial sales and “On-pitch”/“Off-pitch” coaching performance in professional sport. He works with young talent, MDs, Principals/ Entrepreneurs, Directors and Managers/Technical Coaches in professional sport. He has written articles for the RFU Technical Coaches Journal, London Football Coaches Association and Start Your Business magazine.

In sports John was an accomplished athlete competing at a semi-professional level in the state of Colorado. He was a state ski racer for 6 years representing Loveland Basin Ski Team, reached number two rank in the state for doubles tennis, and was an ultra-endurance tri-athlete for the University of Colorado Triathlon Team.

John is an Alumni of The School of Coaching and became a member of Faculty in 2008 after founding his own performance coaching brand DNA Performance.
